Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif: Edges Past Others To The Top Of ‘Most Desirable’ List

Do you desire the 'Greek God' look of Hrithik Roshan and the zing that Katrina Kaif brought in with "Sheila Ki Jawani", at least India does. In the online voting carried out by the National Daily `Times of India' and the channel `Zoom' over 3.1 lakh votes were registered and India has decided to confer the tile of Most Desirable Man of 2010 toHrithik Roshan and Most Desirable Woman of 2010 to Katrina Kaif.

The poll showcased top 50 Men and Women in their respective categories and Katrina Kaif seemed pretty comfortable staying at the numero uno slot for the consecutive second year. The beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had to be satisfied with the number two in the list and following her in number 3 is Priyanka Chopra.

Sexy Deepika Padukone is at number 4 while the actress who brought in the size zero fad Kareena Kapoor is at 5. The chirpy Genelia D'Souza edges past the fashionista Sonam Kapoor as the latter stands at number 7 and D'Souza at 6. Rounding up the top ten of the list of the Women's category are Bipasha Basu (8) Kangna Ranut (9) and Nicole Faria Miss Earth (10).

On the other hand, in the Men's category of `Desirability List', last year's winner Ranbir Kapoor slipped to number 3 and Salman Khan claims the number 2 and Hrithik the number 1. Even 2008 winner John Abraham had to satisfy himself at 5 while Shahid gets a slot above him at 4 with his Kaminey bare act. Shah Rukh Khan is at 6 while Akshay Kumar and Arjun Rampla are at number 7 and 8 respectively. Imran Khan and Saif Ali Khan wraps up the top 10 with 9 and 10 positions in the order.

But the top 50 list of `Most Desirable' was quite a stunning one with full of surprises.

Katrina In Bad Mood

Katrina Kaif threw a tantrum whilst on a flight. Air travel is stressful especially for actors who are forever on the run from one corner of the globe to another.

It's not an easy life for an actor and sometimes they don't make other people's lives easy, either. An interesting anecdote caught our ears: Katrina Kaif was busy city hopping to promote 'Tees Maar Khan'. That required her to live out of her suitcase and the exhausted actress fell into deep slumber once she became comfortable in her first class seat of an airplane.

Before take-off the airhostess called her name twice and tried to wake her up, but the actress was in deep sleep and didn't stir, so she gently tapped on the actress' bare shoulder, she was wearing a sleeveless top and requested her to put on her seat belt.

The hostess was in for a surprise. An infuriated Katrina started yelling and firing her for touching her! Says an eye-witness, "She told her 'How dare you touch me? An embarrassed airhostess simply apologised and went away, with other co-passengers looking on and wondering what the commotion was all about.

A source close to the actress however denies the incident, "People are making up these stupid stories! Katrina may have fallen asleep as she was travelling to different cities in a few days so she was exhausted. But she would never fight with someone for having touched her."

Katrina Is All Set To Rock 2011

Post the Tees Maar Khan fiasco Katrina Kaif seems to be getting a bit more serious about her roles.

The pretty lady is all set to star in Prakash Jha's Satsang that is set to expose the multi-billion global religion factory in India. And Kat will give up her glamorous garb and will don ochre robes and no makeup.

"It would be the most challenging role of my career so far," says Katrina, who played a pivotal character in the Raajneeti, which was also directed by Prakash Jha.

She is almost half way through her film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan co-starring Imran Khan and Ali Zafar. Apart from this she has Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara alongside Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol and Kalki Coechlin.

Katrina has also signed up for Rajkumar Santoshi's rom-com opposite Abhishek Bachchan. She commented, "I had done Sarkar with Abhishek and it was great fun. Somehow subsequent projects didn't work out. I had decided whenever I work with him again it would be in an out-and-out romantic subject."

But that isn't all that Kat has to say. She has Mr Perfectionist on her wish list along with the type of roles she prefers.

"I want to team up with Aamir. I loved the way he romanced on screen in the last few films, especially in Ghajini. Apart from that I have three roles which I want to do. First on the list is a period film, second on my list is a romantic-tragedy like Devdas. And thirdly, I want to do an action film like Salt or Charlie's Angels," Katrina told reporters at a press conference of the 56th Idea Filmfare Awards 2010.

Here's wishing the actress more luck in 2011.
