Katrina Kaif is perhaps one of the most beautiful women in the Indian film industry and it is quite obvious that suitors are ready to marry this beautiful girl at the drop of the hat.

Rumor has it that since Katrina Kaif has gone to Patiala for the shooting of her new film; there has been a queue of suitors ready to marry her.  Presently, Katrina is shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Meet Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

The beautiful Katrina is currently putting up in Hotel Iqbal Inn, and as soon as the local Punjabi Boys got that piece of information they came out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the actress. The bravest among them went ahead and proposed Katrina. Yes, Katrina got proposals for arranged marriages  from the Punjabi youths.  In the upcoming film Katrina plays the role of a girl who comes to Punjab with her parents in the search of a bridegroom.

Commenting on the amusing incident, Katrina said that people take her onscreen roles too seriously, but most of her fans are of the harmless kind.  Her fans began showing up  with their parents and pre-wedding presents. After the initial marriage proposal debacle, director Ali Abba Zafar had to tighten the security for Katrina.

Fortunately, the crew is going to shoot in the outskirts of Patiala, so there will not be much problem with the crowd control. Right now, Katrina has been provided with private security that  has successfully kept away potential suitors from disturbing this beauty. With Katrina being flooded with marriage offers, Ranbir might have to do something fast or else she might just slip away.

Punjabi Boys Line Up for Katrina In Patiala

It seems like Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is the kind of bride Patiala boys are in search of, as quite a lot of love-struck prospective grooms are showing up at the shooting of her upcoming film 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' in Patiala with hopes to marry her.

Ever since Katrina Kaif began shooting in Patiala, a lot of the local Punjabi boys are lining up at the non-luxury hotel Iqbal Inn, where she is staying, hoping to catch a glimpse of her and it's not just for autographs. In fact, many of her fans in Punjab call her Jasmeet (the actress' name in Namastey London).

At first, Katrina was confused but when she came to know the reality, she found it really funny. Talking to a daily on this amusing incident, Katrina said, "In 'Namastey London' I played a girl who comes to Punjab with her parents, looking for a bridegroom. I think these gentlemen take my screen role too seriously. It`s fun as long as the shooting doesn't get disrupted or I am not intruded upon. These are harmless fans... at least most of them are."

In fact, many of the fans are the wannabe husbands of Katrina and often bring things like shagun ka tohfa and shaadi ka jodaa to lock in on the marriage.

That's when the security was tightened around the otherwise sleepy hotel. Kat admits, "We've the local administration in Patiala providing us the security. And then we've our own security from Mumbai. So I guess it's safe. Fortunately, the shooting is a little out of Patiala. Shooting in town would've been impossible."

She adds that she's roughing it out. "The place we're staying in is very basic. There're no luxury hotels here. I enjoy the austerity. I think we actors are much too pampered."

Apparently, Katrina's co-stars Imran Khan and Ali Zafar from 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' and producer Aditya Chopra are too quite busy looking after her.

Katrina finds the boys, "Very sweet. Knowing that shooting in a place where things can get uncomfortable they keep an eye on me and especially on the people who show up at the shoot and the hotel. Prospective grooms would have to be screened by my two vigilant co-stars."

With Katrina flooded by marriage proposals, Ranbir might be spending sleepless nights by now!
